Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's a way for us to share the books we purchased, borrowed or received during the week.

Books/people mentioned:

Unravelling by Elizabeth Norris - I first heard about this via Maja at The Nocturnal Library

Shaheen at Speculation on SpecFic is super awesome and offered to send me some books: The Irong King by Julie Kagawa, Temptation by Karen Ann Hopkins and The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda.

My library had a sale on old books, paperbacks were only 50c so I grabbed three: The Last Race by Celeste Walters, 21 Proms by multiple authors and Boy Toy by Barry Lyga which I picked up because I read a review of his latest book, I Hunt Killers, by Wendy at The Midnight Garden.

I also borrowed a book called something No Ordinary Love Song by Alison Price because it has a really cute cover

Thanks for dropping by :)

Hi Mandee. I have Unraveling as well, I just need to READ it. Ahhh....so many books! What a great deal you got by stopping at the library! 21 Proms seems like it'll be a fun read with Libba Bray and David Levithan writing some of the stories. Nice haul. :)

Nice vlog! Looks like you've got a lot of great books to look forward to. I really want to read Unravelling and The Hunt! And I saw Wendy's review of I Hunt Killers too, sounds interesting, hopefully this other book of that author's is good too. Enjoy all!

"The Hunt" and "Unraveling" are on my best of 2012 so far list - definitely fabulous reads, as is "Iron King"! I hope you enjoy them (and the rest of your lovely haul) as much as I did!

My StS this week!

I just happened to notice that my library was having a sale today when I went in to return a few books so OF COURSE I had to check it out. Made it out of there with three or four or seven new ones. Lost track of how many... :) And of course I borrowed a few as well. Sigh.

Lovely video! Your vlogs always make me smile.

I really liked The Iron King and am eager to read the rest of the series. It looks like you got some great books at the library sale! Happy reading, and thanks for stopping by!

I've heard Unraveling is great book. I hope to read it soon. Enjoy all the books!

UNRAVELLING!!! I am insanely excited to read that. I've read nothing but good reviews so far, so it's really high on my MUST READ ASAP list. I can't wait to see what you think :)

I'm not sure what you say about The Iron King in the video, because my internet is being a pain in the butt today, but if you haven't read it already - I hope you like! I really love the series, although it did take me forever to continue on after the first book for some reason.

I'm hoping to read Temptation soon. Sometime you just need a good forbidden romance :) Happy reading, Mandee!

You're super awesome too Mandee! SQUEEE for Unravelling, I want that book so bad. I wasn't at work on Friday, so hopefully they sent me my copy too? :D I hope you don't mind that Temptation lacks its pretty cover.

Enjoy all your books, I especially like the idea of 21 proms, that sounds really interesting.

Awesome books, Mandee. Some of them I will NEVER find in the US but I do have Unraveling and I can't wait to read it. I love your cover so much more though! And I read the Iron King. I thought it was pretty awesome, actually. Happy reading this week and thanks for stopping by my blog. Again. I suck at that.

I've been waiting on an ARC of Temptation forever from Harper Teen, but I think it got lost in the mail. I won it from Good Reads, so I know it was supposed to be sent. ANYWAY, I got the Iron King this week too! I hope you love all your books! :D

You've got some interesting reads there. The Iron King seems to get a lot of good reviews and I'd like to give this series a go at some stage. I recently read and enjoyed the Hunt- there's certainly no sparkly vamps in this one lol. It's quite bizarre at times really, but makes for a different spin on the genre.

Ooh I love library sales! I went to one last weekend and picked up plenty of 50c bargains (ha I wonder if we have the same local?!)

A vegan cafe in a bookshop! Very cool. Your library books are in such good condition -- I'm impressed. I hope the weather clears up soon!

I love library sales, my mum works in a library back where I grew up and I just wish they cleared out more often! :) 21 Proms sounds like a fun read, and lots of awesome authors!

I think I have Temptation from Netgalley. I'll need to get to it soon!

Happy reading!

I love library sales!! (Our library almost never has them though - they just give all their old books to the shelters, which is nice too...)

Great haul this week :)

Yay - Unraveling sounds really good! You'll love The Iron King! That's the only one I've read of the series so far though. <3

Oh, my God, I can't wait to read your review of Unravelling! It's still one of my favorite books this year (Gone, Gone, Gone being the only one I liked more), and I'll keep my fingers crossed the entire time until I hear your verdict.
I'm also very curious about The Hunt, I've read a very convincing review the other day and now I want it really badly.

I confess, I spent most of the video both entranced by your accent AND by that owl behind you. I love it!!! :-)

Unraveling and The Iron King are both on my Book Wish List. I can't wait to hear what you think of them!

Thanks for sharing your lovely books with us :-) Hope you enjoy all of them!

oh, I'm curious to see what you think about Unraveling! It didn't quite live up to my expectations but I know TONS of people who love it. :) I didn't realise Barry Lyga wrote other books. Boy Toy sounds different from I Hunt Killers. That's such a roster for 21 Proms. You're right, No Ordinary Love Song has a cute cover. I hope you enjoy your books, Mandee!

Mandee! I adore seeing you so much. I just made my husband watch a little bit of your vlog and I was all, "LOOK! THIS IS MY AUSTRALIAN FRIEND!" :)

Great vlog! I, too, wasn't originally attracted to The Hunt, but I need to give it a go. :)

Some fab books this week Mandee! The bargains you picked up at the library sound awesome! Happy reading my love! :)

Shaheen – I hope you got your copy by now! And I don’t mind at all, that was just what first caught my attention!

Jayne – you never know! I’ll email you!

BlookGirl – hehe, thanks!

Magan – Ha! You are adorable!

Mandee, you are adorable! I've always loved Australian accents (ever since Grease with Olivia Newton-John)! I recently found The Iron King for way cheap, so I'm hoping I love it! I've heard great things about the series as well. I've not heard of any other books you mentioned... well, maybe Unraveling. And I LOVE the cover for No Ordinary Love Song. You have good taste!
